For a residential apartment complex in Glyfada, Attica, TEKTINN provided specialized structural engineering services for an architectural metal façade projection integrated into the building envelope. The project concerned a five-storey residential building with pilotis, two basement levels, lofts, and associated external works. Our scope included the detailed modelling and verification of the structural adequacy of the custom steel framework supporting the façade element, with an overall height of 2.70 m, using finite element analysis software. The study assessed the structural behavior of the metallic profiles and cladding under design loads, incorporating wind actions and seismic parameters in accordance with the applicable regulations and the provided design assumptions. The structural analysis was fully coordinated with the architectural geometry and support conditions of the special construction, ensuring safe integration with the building. Through precise engineering analysis and technical coordination, the façade structure was verified for compliance, safety, and constructability. This project is another representative example of our approach, clearly reflecting our philosophy and commitment to “customized engineering solutions.”
